What is Jones Re-Up?

Jones Re-Up is an innovative snowboard resale and recycling program designed to keep worthy snowboards on the mountain longer and dead snowboards out of the landfill.

When you send us your used but still rideable Jones board, we’ll tune it, then put it up for sale to other riders. In exchange you’ll receive a $75-700 credit towards the purchase of a new Jones board based on the model and condition of the board you sent in.

When you send back a dead snowboard of any brand, we’ll recycle the board for free and offer you a $50 credit towards the purchase of a new Jones board.

The Jones Re-Up program helps keep rideable snowboards on the mountain until they’re truly dead and ready to recycle.

How does it work?

It’s simple, just send us your used Jones board, or dead board of any brand, and you’ll receive a credit towards the purchase of a new Jones board. We’ll give you a free shipping label to send it to us, and even a box if you need it.

Credits range from $75-$700 depending on the model and condition of your board. If your board is dead and ready to recycle, you will receive a minimum $50 credit. Use our visual guide to help you decide when your old board is ready to recycle.

Once we receive your board, we put it through a 10-point tune process before putting the refurbished board up for sale. Dead boards that can not be resold are sent to the Jones factory where the materials are upcycled and used to make new snowboards

How long does it take?

Once your board arrives, we will send you a delivery confirmation email. From there, it should take about 2-4 weeks before your snowboard is processed, and your credit is issued. We will send you an email with your promo code to redeem your credit on jonessnowboards.com.

Is my refurbished Jones board covered under Jones warranty?

Refurbished Jones boards purchased from Geartrade do not qualify for Jones warranty programs.

What is the incentive for sending boards back?

When you ship a retired board back to us you will receive a $50 credit towards the purchase of a new Jones board on the Jones webstore.

How do you return a board for recycling?

There are two ways to return a board for recycling. You can either ship the board back to us with a prepaid shipping label we will provide, or you can bring the board to one of our participating collection partners.

We offer free ground shipping to customers in the continental United States and select European countries. To receive a shipping label, fill out the return form here.

If you ship the board back to us, we ask that you do not use a box to save on packaging waste. Just slap the shipping label on the board.

Can I return more than one board?

Yes! We will accept all the retired snowboards you have.

What brand and model snowboards can be recycled?

We can recycle any brand, model or year snowboard.

Are you accepting splitboards and skis for recycling?

Not at this time, but it is possible to recycle splitboards and skis using Re-Up™ Tech.

Are there any limitations to the condition of the board that can be recycled?

The board must be intact (not broken in half) and made with a wood core.
